Accessibility statement

Humaniwork is committed to making humaniwork.com usable by everyone. This statement says what conformance we have verified, what we have not, and when the gaps close.

Conformance status

This site is designed to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA, the level referenced by EN 301 549 and by Spanish Real Decreto 1112/2018.

We assess the site as partially conformant. That means most of the standard is met and there are specific items below that we have not yet verified to the level an assessor should accept. We would rather state that than claim full conformance we have not independently tested.

What has been verified

  • Contrast. Every foreground and background pair used on the site is computed from the design token file by an automated script that runs on every build, in both the light and the dark theme. The build fails if any text pair falls below 4.5:1, or below 3:1 for text at 24px and above. The ratios are computed, not estimated.
  • Automated checks. An axe-core pass runs against every route in both themes, and the build fails on a violation.
  • Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible 2px focus ring at 2px offset. A skip link is the first focusable element on every page.
  • Semantics. Semantic HTML, correct heading order, landmark regions, and a lang attribute on every page.
  • Colour theme. The site follows your system light or dark setting and offers a switch in the header. Both themes are held to the same contrast floor, and the switch is a labelled two-state control rather than an icon whose state you have to infer.
  • Motion. All entrance animation respects prefers-reduced-motion and renders final states immediately. Nothing on the site flashes, pulses, blinks, or auto-advances.
  • Charts. Every chart carries a text alternative that states the finding, and an accessible data table containing the same values. Colour is never the only carrier of meaning: every series is directly labelled and every alert pairs its colour with a text label.

Known gaps

Stated plainly, with what we are doing about each.

  • No independent audit yet. Testing to date is our own, automated and manual. An external accessibility audit has not been commissioned. Until it has, treat this statement as a self-assessment.
  • Screen reader testing is partial. We have tested with VoiceOver and NVDA on the homepage, the three segment pages, and the contact form. The remaining routes have had automated checks but not a manual screen reader pass.
  • The site is currently English only. Catalan and Spanish versions are not yet published. For a Catalan or Spanish speaker this is an accessibility barrier as real as any technical one, and we name it here rather than treating it as a separate roadmap item.
  • Downloadable documents. The documentation pack is currently supplied on request rather than published. PDFs in the pack are tagged for structure, but have not been verified against PDF/UA.

How this site was assessed

Self-assessment, using automated testing with axe-core on every route, a contrast script that computes WCAG ratios from the design token file, and manual keyboard and screen reader passes on the pages listed above. Last assessed on the date at the top of this page.
